Sarah Hellen: The Witch and Vampire

At the end of the 19th century The city of Pisco, Peru received in its lands the corpse of a woman from England, whose sinister history before her death tormented the inhabitants of the town for all the years to come ...

Sarah Hellen was well known in Blackburn, England for her healing powers and for being a practitioner of witchcraft, in addition to drinking blood as a remedy to an unknown disease that she suffered.

Sarah was very happy to be able to heal the sick, until one day the villagers whom she had helped so much with her gifts, turned against her. Sarah was accused of being a witch and the faithful lover of Satan, so the locals did not hesitate to lynch her to death.
Before dying, Sarah Hellen cursed and swore that she would return for revenge after 100 years (in some versions it is said that 80).

The English were afraid that Sarah would keep her promise, they did not allow her husband to give her burial in the country, so the man had to travel through different countries looking for someone to give him lodging to his beloved wife, until he found the green light in Peru.
Over the years, Sarah began to cause a stir in the city, as many feared, many others began to venerate and ask for miracles, even unofficially it is known as: The Saint of the Youth, as the Young lovers swear eternal love in front of his grave, because the fact that her husband traveled with Sarah's coffin for so many countries so that his wife had a place to rest, inspired people to believe in love.

After 100 years, in the year of 1993, Peruvians and foreigners awaited the resurrection of the witch, so hundreds of people veiled his grave waiting for him to wake up, some to have the honor of knowing it and others to face it and return it to the hell where they said it belonged; All the people prepared with garlic, stakes and holy water, even some of the pregnant women fled the city, because it was believed that one of the ways of Sarah return, was reincarnating in one of the babies who were about to be born. As the 100th anniversary of her death passed, Sarah did not wake up because it is thought that the spells of some of the sorcerers and shamans that put all their strength and energy to contain Sarah in her coffin took effect.

In the 2007 earthquake, the tombs of the cemetery where the vampire rests were completely destroyed or damaged, but Sarah's tomb was not scratched. This legend is one of the most known and worrying in Peru, because Sarah's grave remains a latent threat to Pisco, because it is not known when she will return ...
